Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 35-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 35 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

Work, Energy, Power and Gravitation Physics GK Questions Level 3

Work, Energy, Power and Gravitation Level 3 is an advanced General Awareness physics quiz on Aptitude360. It covers the universal law of gravitation, electrical energy in kWh and joule, mass and weight on the Moon, free fall and conservation of mechanical energy. Questions mix multi-statement, list-matching and short numerical formats.

Topics tested in this Level 3 gravitation and energy set

  • How gravitational force changes when the masses and the separation change together
  • Converting appliance energy use between kWh, units on an electricity bill and joule
  • Mass and weight of an object taken from the Earth to the Moon
  • Free fall without air resistance and the fall of heavy and light bodies
  • Kinetic and potential energy when mass, speed or height changes
  • Power as the rate of doing work, and the SI units joule, watt and newton

Core physics concepts behind these gravitation questions

  • Gravitational force varies directly with the product of the masses and inversely with the square of the distance
  • Mass stays constant everywhere, while weight depends on the local acceleration due to gravity
  • In free fall, potential energy changes into kinetic energy and total mechanical energy stays constant
  • No work is done when a force causes no displacement, as when pushing a fixed wall

Revision tips for harder work and energy problems

  • In ratio questions, apply the change in mass first, then square the change in distance
  • Learn the link between kWh, watt and joule so wrong unit options are easy to strike out
  • Judge each statement separately, since a single word like mass or weight often decides it

Who this advanced physics GK quiz suits

General Science learners who have finished the basics and want application-based practice on mechanics and gravitation.

FAQs about Work, Energy, Power and Gravitation – GK Quiz with Answers – Level 3

What is work, energy and power in physics?
Work is done when a force moves an object in the direction of the force. Energy is the capacity to do work, and power is the rate of doing work. Their SI units are the joule, the joule and the watt.
How are gravitation and work, energy and power related?
Lifting a body against gravity stores energy as gravitational potential energy, equal to mass times g times height. When the body falls, gravity does work on it and this potential energy turns into kinetic energy.
Why is weight on the Moon less than on Earth while mass stays the same?
Mass is the quantity of matter and does not change from place to place. Weight is the gravitational pull on that mass, and the Moon's gravity is about one-sixth of the Earth's, so weight there is about one-sixth.
How many joules are there in one kWh?
One kWh equals 3.6 million joules. It is the commercial unit of electrical energy, shown as one unit on household electricity bills.
