Timed diagnostic

Before you take the assessment

This is a single timed sitting whose job is to produce an honest baseline. It is worth nothing if it is taken in pieces, so read these first.

  • It runs in full screen. The test takes over the screen when it starts, the way the real computer-based test does.
  • Leaving it is counted. Switching away is recorded and warned about; the third time, the paper is submitted for you.
  • The clock runs for 30 minutes. Set aside that long, uninterrupted. It starts when you begin, keeps running if you close the tab, and submits the paper at zero.
  • 4 timed sections. Each section has its own limit, and a section you have finished cannot be returned to.

About this test

About the SSC CPO Assessment Test

The SSC CPO Assessment Test on Aptitude360 is a free, medium-level practice test of 30 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 30 minutes. It awards +1 for a correct answer and deducts 0.25 for a wrong answer. The marking follows the SSC CPO Paper I basis (revised 2026 pattern). Each question has four options, the test is in English, and the difficulty is set at a typical real-paper level.

Test pattern and marking

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: 8 questions, 8 minutes, +1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong answer
  • General Knowledge and General Awareness: 7 questions, 7 minutes, +1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong answer
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 8 questions, 8 minutes, +1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong answer
  • English Comprehension: 7 questions, 7 minutes, +1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong answer

Each section has its own timer; the section times add up to 30 minutes.

Topics covered

Reasoning includes order and ranking, syllogism, mathematical operations, Venn diagrams, alphabet and word test, missing number, calendar and clock, and seating arrangement.

General Awareness covers physics, chemistry, biology, art and culture, static GK, history and polity.

Quantitative Aptitude covers mensuration, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, HCF and LCM, surds and indices, statistics, and mixture and alligation.

English Comprehension tests reading comprehension (a short passage with two questions), a para jumble and a synonym question, plus a cloze test (a passage with three blanks).

Every question shows its question type in square brackets at the top, for example [Cloze Test], [Puzzle / Seating Arrangement], [Reading Comprehension] and [Para Jumble], so you can see which part of the real exam pattern each question follows.

Key formulas to revise

  • Area of a circle of radius r: \( A = \pi r^{2} \)
  • Square of a sum: \( (a+b)^{2} = a^{2} + 2ab + b^{2} \)
  • Trigonometric identity: \( \sin^{2}\theta + \cos^{2}\theta = 1 \)
  • HCF and LCM, for two positive integers a and b: \( \text{HCF} \times \text{LCM} = a \times b \)
  • Law of indices, for a > 0: \( a^{m} \times a^{n} = a^{m+n} \)
  • Arithmetic mean of n values: \( \bar{x} = \dfrac{\sum x}{n} \)

Who should take this test

This test suits SSC CPO aspirants who want a timed, section-wise check of all four sections in one sitting. It is also useful if you want to practise handling negative marking under a strict per-section time limit.

How to use the solutions

Every question in this Aptitude360 test has the correct answer and a short worked solution written for this test. While reviewing, start with the questions you got wrong. Then check the ones you guessed, and note the topic of each. Because every wrong answer costs 0.25 marks, use the solutions to decide which question types you should attempt confidently and which you should skip.
