Real test conditions

Before you launch the test

This is the computer-based test format, not a quiz page: one clock, a question palette, and no way back once a section closes. Read these first.

  • It runs in full screen. The test takes over the screen when it starts, the way the real computer-based test does.
  • Leaving it is counted. Switching away is recorded and warned about; the third time, the paper is submitted for you.
  • The clock runs for 120 minutes. Set aside that long, uninterrupted. It starts when you begin, keeps running if you close the tab, and submits the paper at zero.
  • 4 timed sections. Each section has its own limit, and a section you have finished cannot be returned to.

About this test

About RBI Grade B Phase 1 Mock Test 4

What this mock is and why it is set a little harder

This is a full-length RBI Grade B Officer (General) Phase 1 mock. It has the same four sections and the same length as the real paper. The difficulty is moderate-to-hard, a little tougher than the real RBI Grade B Phase 1 papers, so that the actual exam feels manageable.

What each section covers in this mock

  • General Awareness: This section tests static banking, financial and economic awareness, not current affairs. Topics include the monetary policy framework and the MPC, CRR and SLR, MCLR, OMOs and reverse repo tools, FEMA, payment and settlement systems, the Basel framework, the Jalan Committee, RBI history and organisation, public finance and the external sector.
  • English Language: Reading comprehension passages on supply chain resilience and agricultural credit, plus cloze test, error detection, phrase replacement, word swap, double fillers, sentence rearrangement and vocabulary.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Data interpretation sets on bank accounts, steel pipe production and sector-wise bank loans. Also number series, quadratic equations, quantity comparison, approximation and arithmetic word problems.
  • Reasoning Ability: Day-wise and stacked-box puzzles, double-row seating, syllogism, inequality, coding-decoding, input-output, data sufficiency, and statement-based logical reasoning.

Key formulas to revise

  • Percentage change: \(\dfrac{New - Old}{Old} \times 100\%\)
  • Compound amount, compounded annually: \(A = P\left(1 + \dfrac{r}{100}\right)^{n}\)
  • Trains crossing in opposite directions: \(\text{Time} = \dfrac{L_a + L_b}{S_a + S_b}\)
  • Probability with equally likely outcomes: \(P(E) = \dfrac{n(E)}{n(S)}\)
  • Alligation, where d is the dearer price, c is the cheaper price and m is the mean price: \(\dfrac{\text{Cheaper}}{\text{Dearer}} = \dfrac{d - m}{m - c}\)

Who should take it and when

This mock suits aspirants who have finished the basics and want exam-level pressure. Take it once you are comfortable with each section, and attempt it in a single sitting.

How to use the solutions and analysis

Every question has the correct answer and a worked solution. Review each mistake, note the concept behind it, and recheck any guesses you got right. Then revise the weak topics before your next mock.

FAQs about RBI Grade B Phase 1 Mock Test - 4

Why is this RBI Grade B mock harder than the real paper?
It is deliberately set at a moderate-to-hard level, a little tougher than the real RBI Grade B Phase 1 papers. Practising at a slightly higher difficulty builds speed and confidence, so the actual exam feels more manageable on the day.
Which topics does the General Awareness section cover in this mock?
It focuses on static banking, financial and economic awareness. This includes the RBI, monetary policy, banking laws, regulators, payment systems, public finance, the external sector, government schemes and committees. It does not cover current affairs, so prepare those separately.
How should I review a mock after attempting it?
Go through the worked solution for every question, not just the wrong ones. Identify whether each error came from a concept gap, a calculation slip or a misread question. Then revise those topics and track whether the same mistakes repeat in later mocks.
Can I use this mock along with previous year papers?
Yes. Previous year papers show you the real exam pattern and level. This mock matches the same four sections and length but is pitched slightly harder. Using both gives you a realistic benchmark plus extra stretch practice.
