Real test conditions

Before you launch the test

This is the computer-based test format, not a quiz page: one clock, a question palette, and no way back once a section closes. Read these first.

  • It runs in full screen. The test takes over the screen when it starts, the way the real computer-based test does.
  • Leaving it is counted. Switching away is recorded and warned about; the third time, the paper is submitted for you.
  • The clock runs for 120 minutes. Set aside that long, uninterrupted. It starts when you begin, keeps running if you close the tab, and submits the paper at zero.
  • 4 timed sections. Each section has its own limit, and a section you have finished cannot be returned to.

About this test

About RBI Grade B Phase 1 Mock Test 7

What this mock is and why it is a little harder

This is a full-length RBI Grade B Officer (General) Phase 1 mock. It has the same four sections and the same length as the real paper. The level is moderate-to-hard, a little tougher than actual Phase 1 papers, so the real exam feels manageable on the day.

What each section covers in this mock

  • General Awareness: This section is static banking, financial and economic awareness, not current affairs. It covers RBI history and organisation, monetary policy tools such as repo, reverse repo, SDF and MSF, banking laws including SARFAESI and IBC, prudential norms and Basel, payment systems, public finance, the external sector, schemes and committees.
  • English Language: Reading comprehension passages on AI and job transition and on tax compliance. It also has cloze tests, RBI-style error detection, phrase replacement, para jumbles, word swap, double fillers, sentence connectors and vocabulary.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Data interpretation sets on urea production, sector-wise bank loans and cooperative bank branch approvals. It also has missing and wrong number series, quadratic equations, quantity comparison, approximation and arithmetic word problems.
  • Reasoning Ability: Puzzles on birth months and cities, square-table and linear-row seating, syllogism, coded inequality, input-output and data sufficiency. Critical reasoning includes assumptions, courses of action and strengthening or weakening an argument.

Key formulas to revise

  • Percentage change: \(\dfrac{New - Old}{Old} \times 100\%\)
  • Relative speed, trains moving in opposite directions: \(u + v\)
  • Relative speed, same direction, where u is greater than v: \(u - v\)
  • Partnership profit ratio: \(P_a : P_b = C_a t_a : C_b t_b\)
  • Permutations: \({}^{n}P_{r} = \dfrac{n!}{(n-r)!}\)
  • Combinations: \({}^{n}C_{r} = \dfrac{n!}{r!\,(n-r)!}\)

Who should take it and when

This mock suits RBI Grade B aspirants who have finished the basics and want a realistic, slightly demanding full paper. It works best in the later stage of preparation, once your section-wise practice is under way.

How to use the solutions

Every question comes with the correct answer and a worked solution. After your attempt, go through each wrong or guessed answer. Note the concepts and question types that slowed you down, and revise those before your next mock.

FAQs about RBI Grade B Phase 1 Mock Test - 7

Why is this RBI Grade B mock harder than the real paper?
Mock Test 7 is set at a moderate-to-hard level, a little harder than actual RBI Grade B Phase 1 papers. Practising at a slightly higher level builds speed and confidence, so the real exam feels more manageable. It is still full-length, with the same four sections and length as the real paper.
Which topics does the General Awareness section cover in this mock?
It covers static banking, financial and economic awareness rather than current affairs. Topics include RBI history and organisation, monetary policy tools, banking laws, financial regulators, payment and settlement systems, prudential norms and Basel, public finance and the Budget, the external sector, government schemes and committees in banking.
How should I review an RBI Grade B mock after attempting it?
Use the worked solutions for every question. Check the wrong and guessed answers first and find the concept behind each mistake. Then group your errors by section and question type, such as puzzles, data interpretation or banking laws. Revise those areas before taking the next full-length mock.
How can I use this mock along with previous year papers?
Previous year papers show you the real exam's pattern and level. This mock, being a little harder, stretches you beyond that level. Alternating between the two helps you judge your readiness. The worked solutions here also help you fix weak areas that previous papers expose.
