Real test conditions

Before you launch the test

This is the computer-based test format, not a quiz page: one clock, a question palette, and no way back once a section closes. Read these first.

  • It runs in full screen. The test takes over the screen when it starts, the way the real computer-based test does.
  • Leaving it is counted. Switching away is recorded and warned about; the third time, the paper is submitted for you.
  • The clock runs for 120 minutes. Set aside that long, uninterrupted. It starts when you begin, keeps running if you close the tab, and submits the paper at zero.
  • 4 timed sections. Each section has its own limit, and a section you have finished cannot be returned to.

About this test

About RBI Grade B Phase 1 Mock Test 3

What this mock is and why it is set a little harder

This is a full-length mock for the RBI Grade B Officer (General) Phase 1 exam. It has the same four sections and the same length as the real paper. The difficulty is moderate-to-hard, a little harder than the actual papers, so that the real exam feels manageable on the day.

What each section covers in this mock

  • General Awareness: static banking, financial and economic awareness. It covers RBI history and organisation, the monetary policy framework and tools, banking laws, prudential norms and the Basel framework, payment systems, public finance, the external sector, committees and government schemes. It does not cover current affairs.
  • English Language: reading comprehension on municipal finance and behavioural saving, cloze test, error detection, double fillers, phrase replacement, word swap, sentence rearrangement, sentence connectors and vocabulary.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: data interpretation sets on showroom sales, office employees and bank branch NPAs. It also has quadratic equations, quantity comparison, missing and wrong number series, approximation and arithmetic word problems.
  • Reasoning Ability: scheduling and ranking puzzles, seating arrangement, syllogism, inequalities, coding-decoding, input-output, data sufficiency and critical reasoning.

Key formulas to revise

  • Percentage change: \(\dfrac{New - Old}{Old} \times 100\%\)
  • Compound interest amount, compounded annually at R% for n years: \(A = P\left(1 + \dfrac{R}{100}\right)^{n}\)
  • Relative speed of two trains: \(S_1 + S_2\) in opposite directions, \(S_1 - S_2\) in the same direction (when \(S_1 > S_2\))
  • Probability, for equally likely outcomes: \(P(E) = \dfrac{\text{favourable outcomes}}{\text{total outcomes}}\)
  • Union of two sets: \(n(A \cup B) = n(A) + n(B) - n(A \cap B)\)

Who should take it and when

This mock suits RBI Grade B aspirants who have finished the basic syllabus and want a realistic, slightly tougher test of their speed and accuracy. It works best in the final phase of preparation, between revision cycles.

How to use the solutions after the attempt

Every question has the correct answer and a worked solution. Go through each section and note your weak topics. Re-solve the questions you missed without looking at the solution, then revise the related concepts before your next mock.

FAQs about RBI Grade B Phase 1 Mock Test - 3

Why is this RBI Grade B mock harder than the real paper?
It is set moderate-to-hard, a little above the real RBI Grade B Phase 1 papers. Practising at a slightly higher level builds speed, accuracy and confidence. When you then sit the actual exam, the questions feel more manageable and you are less likely to panic over tricky sets.
Which topics does the General Awareness section cover in this mock?
It tests static banking, financial and economic awareness. This includes RBI history and organisation, monetary policy tools, banking laws, prudential norms and the Basel framework, payment systems, public finance and the Union Budget, the external sector, financial regulators, committees and government schemes. Current affairs is not covered in this section.
How should I review an RBI Grade B mock after attempting it?
Check every question, not just the wrong ones, using the worked solutions. Mark the topics where you made errors or guessed. Then re-attempt those questions on your own and revise the underlying concepts. Track your recurring mistakes across mocks so that each attempt improves your weak areas.
How do I use this mock alongside previous year papers?
Use previous year papers to understand the real exam pattern and question style. Use this full-length mock, which matches the real paper's sections and length, to practise at a slightly tougher level. Alternating between the two helps you stay familiar with the actual exam while you keep stretching your preparation.
