Before you launch the test

This is the computer-based test format, not a quiz page: one clock, a question palette, and no way back once a section closes. Read these first.

  • It runs in full screen. The test takes over the screen when it starts, the way the real computer-based test does.
  • Leaving it is counted. Switching away is recorded and warned about; the third time, the paper is submitted for you.
  • The clock runs for 120 minutes. Set aside that long, uninterrupted. It starts when you begin, keeps running if you close the tab, and submits the paper at zero.
  • 4 timed sections. Each section has its own limit, and a section you have finished cannot be returned to.

About this test

About RBI Grade B Phase 1 Mock Test 10

What this mock is and why it is set a little harder

This is a full-length RBI Grade B practice paper with the same four sections and the same length as the real paper. It is pitched at a moderate-to-hard level, a little harder than the actual papers, so that the real exam feels manageable when you sit for it.

What each section covers in this mock

General Awareness: static banking, financial and economic awareness, including monetary policy tools, banking laws, RBI history and organisation, the Basel framework, payment systems, public finance, the external sector, committees and government schemes. It does not cover current affairs.

English Language: reading comprehension on passages about the demographic dividend and the globalisation backlash. It also has cloze test, error detection, phrase replacement, para jumbles, word swap, double fillers and vocabulary questions.

Quantitative Aptitude: data interpretation sets on district loans and branch loan approvals. It also covers mark-up and discount, quadratic equations, quantity comparison, number series and approximation.

Reasoning Ability: floor-and-flat and lecture-schedule puzzles, ranking, syllogism, coded inequality, input-output and data sufficiency. It also includes critical reasoning on assumptions, inferences and courses of action.

Key formulas to revise

  • Percentage change: \(\dfrac{New - Old}{Old} \times 100\%\)
  • Selling price after discount: \(SP = MP \times \left(1 - \dfrac{d}{100}\right)\), where d is the discount per cent
  • Weighted average: \(\bar{x} = \dfrac{\sum w_i x_i}{\sum w_i}\)
  • Compound interest amount: \(A = P\left(1 + \dfrac{r}{100}\right)^{n}\), when interest is compounded annually at r per cent for n years
  • Roots of a quadratic \(ax^2 + bx + c = 0\): \(x = \dfrac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac}}{2a}\), where a is not zero

Who should take it and when

This mock suits RBI Grade B aspirants who have covered the syllabus and want a stiff test of speed and accuracy. It works best in the later stage of preparation, after sectional practice. Attempt it in one go, under exam-like conditions.

How to use the solutions and analysis

Every question comes with the correct answer and a worked solution. After the attempt, review every question, not just the wrong ones.

  • Note any General Awareness concept you guessed.
  • Rework the quant and puzzle sets you skipped.
  • List the English question types that slowed you down.

Revisit these weak areas before your next mock.

FAQs about RBI Grade B Phase 1 Mock Test - 10

Why is this RBI Grade B mock harder than the real paper?
It is deliberately set at a moderate-to-hard level, a little tougher than the actual RBI Grade B papers. Practising against slightly harder puzzles, data interpretation sets and General Awareness concepts builds speed and confidence, so the real exam feels more manageable on the day.
Which topics does the General Awareness section cover in this mock?
It covers static banking, financial and economic awareness rather than current affairs. Topics include the monetary policy framework and tools, banking laws, RBI history and organisation, prudential norms and the Basel framework, payment and settlement systems, public finance and the Union Budget, the external sector, financial regulators, committees and government schemes.
How should I review an RBI Grade B mock after attempting it?
Go through the worked solution for every question, including those you got right, to check whether your method was efficient. Separate silly errors from concept gaps. Revise the weak General Awareness areas, rework the puzzles and DI sets you skipped, and note the English question types that slowed you down.
How can I use this mock alongside previous year papers?
Use previous year papers to understand the real exam's pattern and level. Then use this mock, which matches the real paper's sections and length but is set slightly harder, to stretch your speed and accuracy. Comparing your performance across both shows which sections still need work.
