Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 60-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 60 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

Active and Passive Voice Level 3 Practice Quiz for Competitive English

This Level 3 set is a hard-stage English Language practice quiz on active and passive voice, covering past perfect conversions, future passive forms and sentences with two objects. Every question comes with a worked solution that shows how each conversion is done. Learners in Chandigarh and across India can practise it free on Aptitude360.

Topics covered in this Level 3 voice change set

  • Changing past perfect active sentences into the passive with the correct auxiliary
  • Choosing the right future passive verb form in fill-in-the-blank sentences
  • Sentences with two objects, keeping the direct object as the new subject
  • Picking the one correctly converted option from close-looking choices

Passive voice concepts to revise before practice

  • The passive typically uses a form of be plus the past participle, with be carrying the tense of the original verb
  • The object of the active sentence becomes the subject, so the verb must agree with this new subject
  • The agent with by is often dropped when it is obvious, unknown or unimportant
  • In fill-in-the-blank questions, the correct passive tense depends on the context and time phrases in the sentence

Revision tips for hard passive voice questions

  • Identify the tense of the active verb first, then match the form of be before changing anything else
  • In two-object sentences, check which object the question wants as the subject and add to before the other object where needed
  • Confirm the meaning stays the same after conversion and that no new tense slips in

Who should take this English grammar set

It suits English Language learners who already handle basic voice change and want harder practice before competitive exams.

FAQs about Active and Passive Voice Practice Questions with Detailed Solutions – Level 3

What are the rules of active and passive voice for all tenses?
The object becomes the subject and the verb changes to a form of be plus the past participle. Simple present uses is, am or are, present perfect uses has been or have been, past perfect uses had been, and simple future uses will be.
What is the formula for passive voice?
The usual pattern is object, then a suitable form of be, then the past participle, followed by the agent with by if needed. The form of be changes with the tense of the active verb.
How do you change a sentence with two objects into passive voice?
Either object can become the subject. The principal gave Meera a prize can become Meera was given a prize by the principal, or A prize was given to Meera by the principal.
Which sentences cannot be changed into passive voice?
Sentences with intransitive verbs have no passive form because they have no object. The future continuous and perfect continuous tenses are also generally not changed into the passive.
