Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 15-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 15 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

Vedic Maths Multiplication Tricks – Level 1 (Easy) Practice

This Level 1 set on Aptitude360 practises squares of numbers ending in 5, products with units adding to 10, Nikhilam base multiplication and Urdhva-Tiryagbhyam, exactly as taught in the Vedic Mathematics course video. Level 1 questions are direct use of the method on fresh numbers, just like the video examples. Every question has a worked solution that uses the same Vedic method step by step.

What the three levels cover

  • Squares of numbers ending in 5 (Ekadhikena Purvena)
  • Products of numbers with the same tens part and units adding to 10
  • Nikhilam multiplication near the bases 10, 100, 1000 and 10000
  • Urdhva-Tiryagbhyam (vertically and crosswise) for two- and three-digit numbers
  • Mixed expressions that combine these methods

The method in short

  • \( (10a + 5)^{2} = 100a(a + 1) + 25 \)
  • Nikhilam: cross-add the deviations for the left part, multiply them for the right part.
  • Urdhva: units, crosswise, then tens (and so on), carrying at each step.

Who should take this set

Students preparing for SSC, bank, CAT and other aptitude exams who want faster mental calculation. Watch the lesson video first, then try Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 in order.
