Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 30-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 30 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

Marathas GK Practice Quiz Level 2: Statements, Matching and Chronology

With this Level 2 quiz you check whether you can apply Maratha facts in exam-style formats rather than just recall them. The set covers Shivaji, the Peshwas, revenue terms and the sardar families through direct, statement, match-the-list and chronology questions. Aptitude360 explains the answer to each one.

Areas tested in the Marathas Level 2 quiz

  • Shivaji's parents, his occupation of Javli and his campaigns against the Mughals
  • Chauth, sardeshmukhi and deshmukh families, tested through matching and NOT-correct statements
  • Peshwa origins, the Poona capital and Baji Rao I's campaigns and parentage
  • City links of Sindhia, Holkar, Gaekwad and Bhonsle, including Ujjain and Indore in Malwa
  • Maratha military strategy of bypassing fortified areas and raiding elsewhere, and the resources gained by sardars
  • Order of events: Malwa and Gujarat, the Delhi raid, Nadir Shah's sack of Delhi and Panipat

Key concepts to master for Maratha questions

  • Overlordship of the Deccan and the right to collect chauth and sardeshmukhi
  • Terms such as Peshwa, subadar and deshmukh matched with their meanings
  • Why other rulers did not back the Marathas at the third battle of Panipat

Revision tips for harder Maratha questions

  • Build a single timeline from Shivaji to Panipat and test yourself on the order
  • For match-the-list items, settle the pairs you are sure of first and eliminate options
  • Note which family patronised Ujjain and which built up Indore, as these are easily swapped

Who will gain most from Level 2

General awareness aspirants who have finished basic Maratha revision and want practice in statement and matching formats.
