Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 30-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 30 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

Delhi Sultanate GK Level 2: Statement, Matching and Chronology Questions

Use this Level 2 Delhi Sultanate quiz to check whether you can apply facts, not just recall them, through statement-based, matching, odd-one-out and chronology questions. It covers the Forty, Khalji and Tughluq reforms, Sultanate departments and building styles. Aptitude360 provides a full explanation for every answer.

What the Level 2 Delhi Sultanate questions test

  • The struggle after Ghori's death, Iltutmish's victory over Qubacha and Raziyya's conflict with the nobles
  • Balban's ceremonials and the political role of the Forty
  • Alauddin Khalji's price control, land revenue changes, grain collection and cash salaries
  • Muhammad Tughluq's token currency, its failure and the rebellions of his reign
  • Departments such as Diwan-i-Wizarat, muqti duties, shiqs and the Afghan-era units that replaced them
  • Trabeate and arcuate styles, the keystone, Quwwat al-Islam mosque and building-builder pairs

Key concepts for medium-level Sultanate questions

  • Why Alauddin Khalji controlled prices: to maintain a large standing army on cash pay
  • Why the token currency failed: cheap metal coins were easily forged
  • The difference between a corbelled beam and a true arch held by a keystone
  • Sequencing the Khalji, Tughluq, Sayyid and Lodi phases

How to revise for statement and matching questions on the Sultanate

  • Note the cause behind each reform, such as cash salaries leading to price control in Delhi
  • Keep a timeline of Sultans with reigns so chronology questions become quick
  • Revise each department with its function in a two-column table

Who this Level 2 set suits

Aspirants who have finished the basics of medieval history and now want exam-style practice for SSC and other General Awareness papers.

FAQs about Delhi Sultanate – GK Quiz with Answers – Level 2

Why did Muhammad Tughluq's token currency fail?
The token coins were made of cheap metal and were easily forged. People saved their gold and silver and paid taxes in tokens, so the scheme had to be withdrawn.
Why did Alauddin Khalji introduce price control?
He fixed the prices of goods in Delhi so that soldiers paid in cash could afford supplies. This let him maintain a large standing army against Mongol attacks.
What was the iqta system in the Delhi Sultanate?
An iqta was a territory assigned to a military commander called a muqti or iqtadar. He collected its revenue as salary and in return maintained troops and law and order.
Who built the Qutb Minar?
Qutbuddin Aibak began the Qutb Minar and Iltutmish added the upper storeys. It was later repaired by Firuz Shah Tughluq.
