Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 30-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 30 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

Agriculture and Industry GK Level 2: Land Reforms to Industrial Policy

Level 2 of the Agriculture and Industry set on Aptitude360 checks whether you understand why policies were made, not just what they were called. It tests land reform aims, the two phases of the Green Revolution, MSP, NABARD, rural diversification and the industrial policy of the planning and post-reform years through statements, matching and chronology.

What the Level 2 agriculture and industry questions test

  • Economic logic of land to the tiller and land ceilings
  • Regions and crops that gained in each phase of the Green Revolution
  • Purpose of regulated markets, MSP and NABARD, and how SHGs fund micro-credit
  • Diversification into animal husbandry, fisheries and horticulture
  • Matching farmers' markets to their states and cities
  • Industrial Policy Resolution categories, licensing in backward areas, the Karve Committee and features of the reform-era industrial policy

Key concepts for medium-level Indian Economy practice

  • The first phase of the Green Revolution was limited to wheat-growing regions before spreading wider
  • Under the Industrial Policy Resolution, the state kept control of private industry through licensing
  • The Karve Committee is also called the Village and Small-Scale Industries Committee
  • Liberalisation, privatisation, nationalisation and disinvestment mean different things and are often matched

Preparation tips for this agriculture and industry level

  • Put land reforms, the Green Revolution, NABARD and the industrial reforms on one timeline
  • For odd-one-out questions, group items by sector first: crop farming, allied activities or industry
  • Write one line on the purpose of each policy, since the questions ask why as often as what

Who should take this Level 2 quiz

Students who have learnt the chapter basics and want to test reasoning on policy aims before moving to harder statement questions.

FAQs about Agriculture and Industry in the Economy – GK Quiz with Answers – Level 2

What is the difference between the two phases of the Green Revolution?
The first phase was limited mainly to wheat-growing, better-irrigated regions such as Punjab. In the second phase, HYV technology spread to more states and to more crops.
What was the main aim of land ceilings in India?
A land ceiling fixed the maximum land an individual could own. The aim was to reduce the concentration of land in a few hands and redistribute surplus land to the landless.
What is the role of NABARD?
NABARD is the apex body for rural credit in India. It coordinates the work of institutions that lend to agriculture and rural development.
Why is rural diversification important for farmers?
Diversification into animal husbandry, fisheries and horticulture gives farmers income beyond crop farming. It reduces the risk of depending on a single source of earnings.
