Normal practice, or a Simulated test
The same questions, either way. Normal practice teaches; the simulated test tells you where you stand.
Normal
UntimedEvery question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.
- No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
- Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
- Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
- Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Simulated
Timed CBTThe computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.
- A clock that does not pause. 60 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
- Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
- Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
- Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.
About this test
The real SET 2025 exam, held in May 2025, followed a standardized structure focused on general aptitude rather than deep technical knowledge. Unlike many other entrance exams, SET does not have negative marking, encouraging candidates to attempt all questions within the one-hour window.
Exam Structure & Sectional Breakdown:
General English (16 Questions): Rated Easy to Moderate. It heavily tests vocabulary (Synonyms/Antonyms), Grammar (Active/Passive voice, Error spotting), and small Reading Comprehension passages.
Quantitative Aptitude (16 Questions): Primarily focuses on Arithmetic (Profit & Loss, Time & Work, Percentages) and basic Algebra. Questions are designed to be solved in under 45 seconds each.
General Awareness (16 Questions): A mix of Current Affairs (Government schemes, Awards, Sports) and Static GK (History, Geography, Constitution).
Analytical & Logical Reasoning (12 Questions): Covers standard reasoning topics like Series, Blood Relations, Syllogisms, and Direction Sense.
Key Exam Features:
Total Marks: 60 Marks (1 mark per question).
Negative Marking: None.
Duration: 60 Minutes (No sectional time limits).
Selection Process: The SET score is used for shortlisting, followed by a Personal Interaction (PI) and a Writing Ability Test (WAT).
Real 2025 Trends: The 2025 paper was noted for its balance. The General Awareness section featured questions on the G20 outcomes and major space missions, while the Quant section prioritized Ratio and Average problems over complex Geometry.
