Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 35-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 35 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

State Executive and Legislature Practice Quiz: Advanced Polity Questions

This Level 3 GK quiz lets you check whether you can apply State government provisions rather than only recall them. It covers the Governor's discretion, clemency and options on Bills, the limits on Ministers, and Legislative Council strength and composition. On Aptitude360, each question has a written explanation that works through the reasoning.

Topics in this hard-level State Executive quiz

  • Governor's pardoning power and the options on a Bill presented for assent
  • Calculating the permitted range of Ministers from the size of the Assembly
  • Working out the maximum strength and the share of each electorate in a Legislative Council
  • Arranging Articles on the Governor and the State Legislature in ascending order
  • Matching State institutions with their Central counterparts and offices with how they are filled
  • Age rules for the Governor and for membership of the State Legislature applied to specific cases

Key concepts for advanced State Polity questions

  • The Governor's power to dissolve applies to the Legislative Assembly only, never the Council
  • The upper and lower limits on the Council of Ministers set by constitutional amendment
  • Which officials the Governor appoints and which are chosen by the Assembly
  • The finality of the Governor's own decision on whether a matter is discretionary

Revision tips for numerical and multi-statement Polity items

  • Practise converting the fractional shares of Council seats into numbers for different House sizes
  • Calculate both the floor and the ceiling when a question asks for the range of Ministers
  • Revise the Articles from the Governor through the Legislative Council in numerical order so ordering questions become quick

Who should take Level 3

It is meant for aspirants who have finished the earlier levels of this set and want final-stage practice with tougher Polity questions for general awareness papers.
