Real test conditions

Before you launch the test

This is the computer-based test format, not a quiz page: one clock, a question palette, and no way back once a section closes. Read these first.

  • It runs in full screen. The test takes over the screen when it starts, the way the real computer-based test does.
  • Leaving it is counted. Switching away is recorded and warned about; the third time, the paper is submitted for you.
  • The clock runs for 60 minutes. Set aside that long, uninterrupted. It starts when you begin, keeps running if you close the tab, and submits the paper at zero.
  • 4 timed sections. Each section has its own limit, and a section you have finished cannot be returned to.

About this test

SSC CPO Paper 1 Mock Test 05: Reasoning, GA, Quant, English Practice

SSC CPO Paper 1 Mock Test 05 is a practice mock that helps aspirants check their accuracy across the four Paper 1 subjects: Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English. It mixes puzzle-style reasoning with ancient history, polity, economics, chemistry and mensuration. On Aptitude360 each question comes with a worked solution for reviewing both method and concept.

Section-wise topics in this CPO Paper 1 mock

  • Reasoning: letter-cluster analogies, number-set relations, number and letter series, symbol substitution, blood relations, linear seating, implicit assumptions, dictionary order
  • General Awareness: Ashokan inscriptions, provincial reform under the colonial Government of India Act, the Hemis festival, ad hoc Supreme Court judges, Krishna river dams, Bandhavgarh National Park, the investment multiplier, IRDP, stoichiometry of aluminium chloride
  • Quant: divisibility, simplification, rationalising surds, profit as a share of selling price, compound interest for a single year, milk and water mixtures, trains meeting, recasting a hollow sphere into a cone, linear equations
  • English: articles, one-word substitution, sentence rearrangement, sentence improvement, indirect speech, phrasal verbs, cloze test, a passage on urban solid waste

Ideas worth revisiting before SSC CPO

  • Tracing generations in a blood-relation statement from the farthest relative
  • The federal scheme that never came into force and the provincial autonomy that did
  • How an ad hoc judge is brought into the Supreme Court
  • Volume staying the same when one solid is melted into another
  • Converting questions into reported speech

Practical revision pointers

  • Find a single year's compound interest by applying the rate to the previous year's amount
  • Rationalise each reciprocal surd term so the sum telescopes
  • Group Ashokan edicts by site and by what they record

Is this CPO mock for you?

It suits SSC CPO aspirants preparing for Paper 1 who have covered the syllabus and want to test all four sections in one sitting.

FAQs about SSC CPO Paper 1 Mock Test - 05

What is the SSC CPO Paper 1 exam pattern?
SSC CPO Paper 1 has four parts: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. All questions are objective multiple choice.
How do you convert profit on selling price to profit on cost price?
Subtract the profit from the selling price to get the cost, then compare the profit with that cost. If profit is one-fifth of the selling price, cost is four-fifths, so profit on cost is one-fourth, or twenty-five percent.
Which part of the Government of India Act of 1935 was implemented?
Provincial autonomy was implemented, and elected ministries took office in the provinces. The proposed all-India federation never came into force.
Who can be appointed an ad hoc judge of the Supreme Court?
When there is no quorum of permanent judges, the Chief Justice of India may, with the President's prior consent and after consulting the Chief Justice of the High Court concerned, ask a qualified High Court judge to sit as an ad hoc judge.
