Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 30-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 30 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

Level 2 Parts and Schedules of the Constitution Quiz: Articles and Amendments

This Level 2 set moves from simple recall of the Constitution's Parts and Schedules to matching, odd-one-out and chronology questions. It asks you to connect Parts with their Article ranges and Schedules with the amendments that added them. Aptitude360 gives a written explanation for every question.

Topics tested in this Level 2 Constitution set

  • Article ranges for Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles, Citizenship and the Union government
  • Part and Article placement of Fundamental Duties
  • Schedules for Panchayats and Municipalities and the amendments of the same year that added them
  • Sixth Schedule States with tribal areas and the Fifth Schedule on Scheduled Areas
  • Ninth Schedule read with its linked Article on protecting laws
  • Why Articles inserted later raise the total beyond the last Article number

Concepts to master for Parts, Articles and Schedules

  • Order in which the Preamble, Parts and Schedules appear in the text
  • Parts that hold a single Article, such as the Part on amendment
  • Grouping Eighth Schedule languages by the amendment that added them
  • Sequence of amendments that added the anti-defection and local body Schedules

Preparation tips for Article and Schedule matching

  • Memorise the starting and ending Article of each major Part rather than isolated Articles
  • Write down amendment years next to Schedules to solve chronology questions quickly
  • For odd-one-out questions, test each option against a single feature such as Part, Schedule or year

Who should take this Level 2 set

It suits Indian Polity learners who have completed the basics of the Constitution's structure and want practice in matching and ordering formats.

FAQs about Parts and Schedules of the Constitution – GK Quiz with Answers – Level 2

Why are there more than 395 articles in the Indian Constitution?
The last Article is still numbered 395, but many Articles were inserted later with letter suffixes, such as Article 21A and Article 51A. This keeps the original numbering while raising the actual count.
Which amendments added the Eleventh and Twelfth Schedules?
The Seventy-third Amendment added the Eleventh Schedule on Panchayats, and the Seventy-fourth Amendment added the Twelfth Schedule on Municipalities. Both were passed in 1992.
How many languages are there in the Eighth Schedule?
The Eighth Schedule currently lists 22 languages. Bodo, Dogri, Maithili and Santhali were the last to be added, through the Ninety-second Amendment of 2003.
What is the Ninth Schedule of the Indian Constitution?
The Ninth Schedule was added by the First Amendment in 1951 and works with Article 31B to protect listed laws, such as land reform Acts, from challenge on the ground of violating Fundamental Rights. In the I.R. Coelho case of 2007, the Supreme Court held that laws placed in the Ninth Schedule after 24 April 1973 can be reviewed if they damage the basic structure of the Constitution.
