Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 50-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 50 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

JIPMAT 2022 Quantitative Aptitude PYQ: Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry

Arithmetic reasoning sits at the heart of this set, which is the Quantitative Aptitude section of the JIPMAT 2022 paper.

What this tells you: course of action

  • First priority: Ages, HCF & LCM, Percentage and Simple & Compound Interest, roughly 30% of the questions between them.
  • Keep in rotation: Triangles and Trigonometry, a steady 15% that rewards regular practice once the first group feels comfortable.
  • Save for the end: 15 one-question topics (56% together). Skim them last rather than building long study blocks around them.
  • Splitting your study time: out of every 10 study sessions on this section, about 3 for the first group, 1 for the keep-in-rotation group and 6 for the leave-for-last group.

Key formulas for JIPMAT quant

  • Simple interest: \( SI=\dfrac{P\times R\times T}{100} \)
  • Depreciation: \( V=P\left(1-\dfrac{R}{100}\right)^{n} \)
  • Two numbers: \( \text{LCM}\times\text{HCF}=a\times b \)
  • Identity: \( \sin^{2}\theta+\cos^{2}\theta=1 \)

FAQs about JIPMAT 2022 Quantitative Aptitude PYQs

How to find simple interest rate when money doubles?
If a sum doubles, the interest equals the principal, so the annual rate is one hundred divided by the number of years taken to double.
What is the relation between LCM and HCF of two numbers?
For any two positive integers, the product of their LCM and HCF equals the product of the two numbers.
How to check if a polynomial is divisible by x plus a?
By the remainder theorem, substitute x equal to minus a into the polynomial. If the value is zero, the polynomial is exactly divisible.
What is the formula for depreciation in quantitative aptitude?
The value after n years equals the original value multiplied by one minus the rate over one hundred, raised to the power n. It works like compound interest but with a decrease.

Marking & rules

Total marks
120 across 30 questions.
Negative marking
A wrong answer costs marks. Leaving a question unanswered costs nothing.
Attempts
100 in total. An attempt is spent the moment you begin one.

What you get when you submit

The analysis is ready the moment you submit the paper.

Score and accuracy

Marks, percentage, right, wrong and skipped, and the time you took.

Section by section

The same figures for each section, so a weak one cannot hide in an average.
