Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 35-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 35 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

Inflation in Indian Economy: Level 3 GK Practice Quiz with Answers

This is a Level 3 Indian Economy GK quiz on inflation, covering price indices, types and causes of inflation, its effects on different groups and the tools used to control it. The questions go past definitions into statement-based, matching and sequence formats. Every question in this quiz on Aptitude360 has an explanation.

What this inflation quiz covers

  • Wholesale Price Index and Consumer Price Index: what each measures and the groups in WPI
  • Headline versus core inflation, and why food and energy are left out of core
  • Disinflation, deflation and stagflation told apart
  • Cost-push and demand-pull causes
  • Who gains and who loses: lenders, borrowers and pensioners
  • Monetary and fiscal measures such as repo rate hikes, CRR changes and open market sales of securities

Key inflation concepts to revise

  • Inflation as a sustained rise in the general price level, not a one-off rise in a single price
  • A falling but positive inflation rate as disinflation
  • The gap between headline and core inflation as a sign of food and fuel price movement
  • The chain from an RBI tightening step to lower money supply and lower demand
  • Classifying a measure as monetary or fiscal

Preparation tips for inflation questions

  • Make a small table comparing WPI and CPI: what is priced, at which stage and for whom
  • For every RBI tool, write whether it adds or removes money from the market
  • Practise sequence questions by tracing cause, producer response and final price effect

Who should take this Level 3 economy quiz

It suits UPSC, state PSC, RBI, banking and SSC aspirants who have finished the basics of inflation and want harder applied questions as a final check on the topic.
