Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 30-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 30 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

Circulatory and Respiratory Systems Level 2 Quiz: Blood Flow and Breathing

This Level 2 quiz checks whether you can apply heart, blood and breathing facts rather than just recall them. It covers the path of blood and oxygen, double circulation, blood pressure, vessel structure and aerobic versus anaerobic respiration through match-the-list, odd-one-out and sequence formats. Aptitude360 explains the answer to every item.

Topics tested in this Level 2 circulation and respiration set

  • Order of blood flow through the right atrium, right ventricle, lungs and left side of the heart
  • Single circulation in fish versus double circulation in birds and mammals
  • Structure-function links in arteries, veins and capillaries
  • Blood pressure: meaning, systolic and diastolic values, unit and the sphygmomanometer
  • Path of inhaled air through nostrils, throat and bronchi, and the mechanism of inhalation
  • Stages of aerobic respiration and products of anaerobic respiration in yeast

Key concepts behind the statement and matching items

  • Ventricle walls are thicker than atrial walls because ventricles pump blood out
  • Thin capillary walls allow exchange of materials between blood and tissues
  • Lymph carries digested fat and returns extra tissue fluid to the blood
  • Ribs lifting and diaphragm flattening enlarge the chest, so air is drawn in
  • Instrument pairs such as stethoscope, sphygmomanometer and barometer

Preparation tips for heart and breathing practice

  • Practise writing blood flow sequences from memory, starting from both the body and the lungs
  • For odd-one-out items, group animals by heart type before comparing options
  • Read every statement for swapped words such as artery for vein or atrium for ventricle

Who this quiz is for

General awareness learners who are comfortable with the basics of the heart and lungs and want application-based practice on circulation and respiration.

FAQs about Circulatory and Respiratory Systems – GK Quiz with Answers – Level 2

What is double circulation?
In double circulation, blood passes through the heart twice in one complete cycle: once to go to the lungs and once to go to the rest of the body. It is seen in birds and mammals, while fish have single circulation.
What is normal blood pressure in humans?
Normal blood pressure is about 120 over 80 mm of Hg. The higher value is systolic pressure, when the heart contracts, and the lower value is diastolic pressure, when it relaxes.
What is the difference between aerobic and anaerobic respiration?
Aerobic respiration uses oxygen and breaks pyruvate into carbon dioxide and water, releasing much more energy. Anaerobic respiration in yeast occurs without oxygen and produces ethanol and carbon dioxide.
Why do veins have valves?
Veins carry blood back to the heart at low pressure. Their valves allow blood to flow only towards the heart and prevent it from flowing backwards.
