Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 35-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 35 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

Level 3 Centre–State Relations and Emergency Provisions Polity PYQ-Style Quiz

This Level 3 quiz tests advanced Centre–State relations and Emergency provisions through multi-statement, match-the-list and sequencing questions. It focuses on fine distinctions, such as why internal disturbance remains in the Union's protective duty but is no longer an Emergency ground. Aptitude360 explains every answer, so you can trace each tricky statement back to the correct Article or Amendment.

Topics tested in this advanced federal polity set

  • Matching Articles on Parliament's powers during an Emergency, State requests and international treaties
  • Time rules for National Emergency, President's Rule and Financial Emergency compared side by side
  • Effects unique to Financial Emergency, such as reserving State Money Bills and cutting salaries
  • Steps by which the Lok Sabha can end a National Emergency
  • Entries added to the Concurrent List by the Forty-second Amendment and tricky List placements
  • Ordering constitutional bodies and provisions by Article number

Key concepts that decide tricky statement questions

  • Approval of a National Emergency needs a special majority in each House of Parliament
  • A National Emergency can cover only a part of India's territory
  • The Sarkaria Commission was set up by the central government, not the Inter-State Council
  • Unlike in the USA, residuary powers in India rest with Parliament
  • President's Rule can follow the Governor's report or other information before the President

Revision tips for Level 3 Emergency provisions questions

  • Build a comparison grid of all three Emergencies covering grounds, approval, majority, continuation and effects
  • Read each statement for one wrong word such as Union Cabinet, Governor or Inter-State Council
  • Memorise Article numbers in ascending order to settle sequence and matching items quickly

Who should take this Level 3 polity test

Aspirants who have covered the earlier levels and want final revision on fine distinctions before exams with statement-heavy polity questions.

The Union can direct States to follow financial propriety, ask them to reserve Money Bills for the President, and order cuts in salaries of government servants, including judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts.
Can a National Emergency apply to only part of India?
Yes. Since the Forty-second Amendment, a National Emergency can be limited to a specified part of India's territory.
