Real test conditions

Before you launch the test

This is the computer-based test format, not a quiz page: one clock, a question palette, and no way back once a section closes. Read these first.

  • It runs in full screen. The test takes over the screen when it starts, the way the real computer-based test does.
  • Leaving it is counted. Switching away is recorded and warned about; the third time, the paper is submitted for you.
  • The clock runs for 120 minutes. Set aside that long, uninterrupted. It starts when you begin, keeps running if you close the tab, and submits the paper at zero.
  • 3 timed sections. Each section has its own limit, and a section you have finished cannot be returned to.
  • On-screen calculator. The test provides one. Nothing else is needed, and nothing else is allowed.

About this test

CAT Full-Length Mock Test 4 with VARC, DILR and QA Solutions

CAT Mock Test 4 is a full-length CAT practice paper covering Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability. Aptitude360 provides a detailed written solution for every question. The paper moves from dense reading to set-based logic to arithmetic and algebra, so you can rehearse all of CAT in one sitting.

What CAT Mock Test 4 covers, section by section

  • VARC: reading comprehension passages on urban street trees, the myth of the lone scientific genius, the idea of authenticity in culture and institutional memory, plus para-summary, para-jumble and odd-sentence-out items
  • DILR: a round-robin football league, a circular seating arrangement, judges ranking interns and a weekend-workshop Venn diagram set
  • QA: false weights, mixtures and replacement, boats and streams, time and work, compound interest instalment repayment, partnership, circular track races, percentages, number properties, modulus inequalities and functional equations

Key concepts to revise before this CAT mock

  • Identifying the central idea and author's tone in abstract, argument-driven passages
  • Opening and closing sentence logic for para-jumbles and spotting the sentence that breaks the theme
  • Win, loss and draw bookkeeping in league tables and fixing positions in circular arrangements
  • Maximum and minimum overlaps in Venn diagram sets
  • Relative speed on circular tracks and instalment loan repayment under compound interest
  • Case-splitting for modulus expressions and substitution in functional equations

Preparation tips for full-length CAT mocks

  • Practise drawing league tables and seating grids from scratch until set structures feel familiar
  • For summaries, eliminate options that add ideas not present in the passage
  • In quant, write cases separately for modulus and integer-pair questions so no value is missed
  • After each mock, rework every wrong and skipped question using the written solutions

Who should take this CAT mock test

Best suited to CAT and other OMET aspirants who have finished the basics and want a full-paper rehearsal across VARC, DILR and QA.

FAQs about CAT Mock Test 4 – Full-Length CAT Mock Test with Solutions

How to solve para jumble questions in CAT VARC?
Find the opening sentence that introduces the idea without referring back to anything, then link the rest through pronouns, connectors and the flow of the argument. Pairs of sentences that clearly belong together narrow down the order quickly.
What is an odd sentence out question in CAT?
You get a set of jumbled sentences, and all but one of them form a coherent paragraph. The odd sentence is usually on a related topic but breaks the logical flow or focus of the others.
What is the formula for upstream and downstream speed in boats and streams?
Downstream speed equals the speed of the boat in still water plus the speed of the stream. Upstream speed equals the boat's speed minus the speed of the stream.
How long is CAT Mock Test 4 on Aptitude360?
The mock has 68 questions in 120 minutes, with VARC, DILR and QA allotted 40 minutes each, and every question has a worked solution.
