Normal practice, or a Simulated test

Both use the same questions. Normal practice is untimed and needs no account: choose an option and the answer and solution appear at once. The Simulated test is the real computer-based format, with one 75-minute clock, a question palette and full screen, and your score, the key and the solutions arrive when you submit.

How the two modes differ
No account needed

Normal

Untimed

Every question on one page, loading as you scroll. Choose an option and see straight away whether it was right.

  • No timer. Nothing to start and nothing to submit. Stop whenever you like.
  • Answered as you choose. Tap an option and it is marked at once, with the correct answer shown.
  • Solutions in place. The explanation, and the video where one has been added, sit under the question.
  • Open to guests. Normal practice needs no sign-in.
Real exam conditions

Simulated

Timed CBT

The computer-based test format: one clock, a question palette, and a score the moment you submit.

  • A clock that does not pause. 75 minutes from the moment you begin, and the paper is submitted for you when it reaches zero.
  • Question palette. Answered, not answered and marked for review, section by section, as the real interface has it.
  • Full screen, proctored. The test takes over the screen; leaving it three times submits the paper.
  • Answers hidden until you submit. The key, the explanations and your score all arrive together at the end.

About this test

Level 3 Advanced Reasoning Puzzles Practice: Seating, Floors, Boxes, Schedules

This Level 3 practice set from Aptitude360 builds your skill at constructing complete arrangements from scattered, conditional clues in advanced logical reasoning puzzles. It covers circular and linear seating, floor-based buildings, box stacks and day or month schedules. Many puzzles match people to a second attribute, such as sports or rivers, and every question has a worked solution.

Puzzle formats in this advanced arrangement set

  • Circular seating facing the centre, matched with fruits, sweets, beverages or professions
  • Linear rows facing north or south, plus a west-to-east row where some face north and others face south
  • Floor-based building puzzles with the lowermost floor counted as the first
  • Box stack puzzles with positions counted upward from the bottom
  • Scheduling across months of a year or days of a week, such as joining months, hill station visits and language sessions

Key reasoning concepts for multi-variable puzzles

  • Left and right for people facing the centre of a circular table
  • How left and right reverse between rows facing north and rows facing south
  • Reading clues such as immediately above, between and a gap of in floor and stack puzzles
  • Splitting into separate cases when one clue allows two placements

Revision tips for hard seating and floor puzzles

  • Place fixed clues first, such as an exact floor, an end seat or a named month, before relative clues
  • Draw possible cases side by side and strike out a case as soon as a clue contradicts it
  • Keep a separate column for the second attribute so names and items do not get mixed up

Who this Level 3 reasoning set suits

It suits analytical reasoning aspirants who are already comfortable with basic seating and floor puzzles and want tougher sets that track two variables at once.

FAQs about Advanced Logical Reasoning Sets Practice Questions with Detailed Solutions – Level 3

How to solve circular seating arrangement facing the centre?
For a person facing the centre, their right is the anticlockwise direction and their left is the clockwise direction. Place one person using a fixed clue first, then add the others with relative clues.
What is the difference between facing north and facing south in linear arrangement?
In a row facing north, a person's right is towards the east end. In a row facing south, a person's right is towards the west end, so left and right are reversed.
How to solve floor based puzzles in reasoning?
Draw the floors vertically with the lowest floor at the bottom, then place people using clues that fix an exact floor. After that, use clues about who lives above, below or between others to fill the rest.
How to handle multiple cases in puzzles?
When a clue allows more than one placement, draw each possibility as a separate case. Test the remaining clues on every case and discard any case that leads to a contradiction.
