Quiz Details
This section is the heavyweight of the SNAP exam, accounting for nearly 42% of the total questions. In Slot 1 of the 2024 exam, the module focused less on complex arrangements and more on "sitter" questions that tested instant logic application.
Syllabus & Core Topics:
Critical Reasoning (High Weightage): Approximately 8–9 questions were passage-based, focusing on Arguments, Assumptions, Course of Action, and Cause & Effect.
Clocks & Calendars: A significant chunk of 3–4 questions appeared, including direct formula application. Notable questions included finding the "angle between hands at 5:55" (Answer: 27.5° or 152.5° depending on options) and a tricky "Cuckoo Clock" problem (calculating time intervals for chimes).
Series & Coding: 3–4 questions on Number and Letter Series, including Arithmetic Progressions (e.g., "6, 13, 20...") and coding-decoding patterns.
Logical Puzzles:
Binary Logic: 1–2 questions involving truth-tellers and liars.
Family Tree: 2–3 questions on Blood Relations.
Arrangements: Linear and Circular seating arrangements were present but relatively short and straightforward.
Exam Pattern & Marking:
Total Questions: 25.
Scoring: +1 mark for a correct answer, -0.25 marks for an incorrect answer.
Ideal Strategy: Since the level was "Easy to Moderate," a good attempt rate was considered 19–20 questions. The key trap was the "Cuckoo Clock" question where many candidates made the mistake of not counting the intervals correctly (n-1 intervals).
