Real test conditions

Before you launch the test

This is the computer-based test format, not a quiz page: one clock, a question palette, and no way back once a section closes. Read these first.

  • It runs in full screen. The test takes over the screen when it starts, the way the real computer-based test does.
  • Leaving it is counted. Switching away is recorded and warned about; the third time, the paper is submitted for you.
  • The clock runs for 60 minutes. Set aside that long, uninterrupted. It starts when you begin, keeps running if you close the tab, and submits the paper at zero.
  • 4 timed sections. Each section has its own limit, and a section you have finished cannot be returned to.

Concepts worth revising before Tier 1

  • Third conditional sentences and the misuse of 'would have'
  • Constitutional amendments that changed Fundamental Rights

How to prepare these CHSL areas

  • Draw a family tree for every coded blood relation question

  • Revise Buddhist councils with their king, place and president together

FAQs about SSC CHSL Tier 1 Mock Test - 08

What subjects are in SSC CHSL Tier 1?
SSC CHSL Tier 1 tests English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness.
How to calculate average speed for equal distances?
Divide the number of equal stretches by the sum of the reciprocals of the speeds. This harmonic mean is always lower than the simple average of the speeds unless all speeds are equal.
What is the Gadgil formula?
The Gadgil formula was used to share central plan assistance among the states. It was first applied in the Fourth Five Year Plan.
How to solve day of the week questions with leap years?
Count the actual number of days between the two dates, including every 29 February that falls in between. Divide that total by seven; the remainder gives the odd days to move forward from the known day.
