  • Citizen of India, or
  • Subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
  • Tibetan refugee (as per rules), or

The recruitment process usually happens in the following stages:


Stage 1: Preliminary Examination

This is the first screening stage.

This is the deciding stage for final allotment.

The IBPS Clerk Exam (now officially called CRP CSA – Common Recruitment Process for Customer Service Associates) is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to recruit clerical staff (Customer Service Associates) for various Public Sector Banks (except SBI) in India.

The selection process consists of two stages:

Preliminary Examination (qualifying in nature)
Main Examination
There is no Interview. Final merit is prepared based on Mains marks. Candidates also need to qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test (if applicable).

Minimum Age: 20 years
Maximum Age: 28 years (as on the date mentioned in notification, usually 1st August).
Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for reserved categories.

A Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university.
Candidates should also have basic computer knowledge and proficiency in the local language of the state/UT they are applying for.

There are two online stages – Prelims and Mains. Prelims is qualifying; only Mains marks are considered for final merit. You should focus on Mains preparation from the starting and you should attempt mocks regularly so that you have an idea about the level of questions that are asked in the Exam.
