Quiz Details
Level 3 is designed for the high-difficulty "DILR" sections of CAT, XAT, and GMAT. In this module, the relationship is rarely stated directly; instead, it is hidden within spatial or conditional clues. A single error in the family tree will typically result in 5 incorrect answers for the associated set.
Syllabus & Core Question Types:
Circular Arrangement with Family Ties: Placing 8 family members around a table where some face the center and others face outward, based on clues like: "The husband of A sits second to the left of A's only daughter."
Linear Rows with Marriage Constraints: Two parallel rows of people where couples must sit opposite each other, or where no two males can sit together.
Blood Relations with Mathematical Variables: Puzzles where ages or salaries are linked to the hierarchy (e.g., "The sum of the ages of the father and his only son is 60, and the father is 3 times as old as the son").
Sparse Information Sets: Puzzles with 7–8 people where only 3 relationships are defined, requiring the candidate to deduce the rest through gender-gap analysis and the "only child" constraint.
